Slow Cooker (Crockpot) Hot Dogs
As if this couldn't get any easier!
Yield: 12 hot dogs
- 1 slow cooker or Instant Pot
- 1 pack raw hot dogs
Plug in your slowcooker and pour in a bag of hot dogs.
Set your slowcooker to LOW for 2-3 hours. Stir every hour to check on it.
That's basically it. Keep warm until you're ready.
The hot dogs have a different texture compared to boiled. The outer layer is slightly thickened, giving just enough texture to be more interesting than a boring boiled hot dog. Mine cooked in 2 hours, so I just switched it to "keep warm" until I was ready to serve the rest of the meal. If you are cooking a ton of hot dogs (read: kid's birthday party) then this is a great, no fuss timesaver for those hectic days.
